Sam Hunter

Sam Hunter was born into a family of global wanderers.  His parents lived in Guatemala, Bolivia, and Nigeria working in missions.  Sam grew up with a Registered Nurse mom that cared for the medical needs of people without access to clinics and hospitals in these emerging countries.  Often she treated people with the limited resources of sterile bandages and antibiotics accompanied by compassion and prayer.

Sam’s long term interest in medical care started with family dinner time conversations and continued to guide his work on useful products to improve and enhance the lives of the elderly and those in need of medical care.

Collaborating with Rob Blackston on the Blackstone Scissors has been a joyful journey.  Our conversation at a choir rehearsal resulted in a quality and time saving medical instrument.
